A 3-piece rod made of low-elasticity carbon, pursuing the ideal action for low-number, short rods, different from high-elasticity carbon and fiberglass. The finish features Daiwa's signature bamboo finish.
To achieve suppleness that bends smoothly to the butt in proportion to the load, we adopted an unconventional 3-piece blank with a slightly shorter butt section. This 6-foot rod also boasts excellent accuracy. It is exceptionally light and very easy to cast, a true Kodachi (short sword). Ideal for headwaters.

This was the manufacturer's description, but I haven't had a chance to use it and still use my Yabusawa Special.
