Theobald Boehm was a German flutist and instrument maker who developed the famous Boehm system. He was also active as an educator and composer, leaving behind many flute method books, variations, and salon pieces.
These 24 pieces, covering all keys, melodically practice various patterns found in German Classical and Romantic music, utilizing a wide range of pitches and employing trills, scales, and arpeggios.
These are challenging etudes, characteristic of Boehm's expertise in flute acoustics and his extensive experience as a performer.
