[Synopsis]
The era of Taiko Hideyoshi's splendor—
The greatest thief in the land, Ishikawa Goemon (Arata Furuta), steals the Golden Eyeball Statue, linked to Kūkai, along with the female thief Ogin the Cat's Eye (Yu Aoi).
The young detective Akechi Shinkuro (Haruma Miura) corners Goemon and his companions, but it turns out the statue contains a cipher revealing the location of the gold hidden by Kūkai...!
The nun Shunrai-ni (Yumiko Takahashi), whose precious Buddhist statue was stolen, Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Chuji Emori) and his confidants Mitsunari Ishida (Makoto Awane) & Keijiro Maeda (Jun Hashimoto), and even crossing the seas, Goemon's old friend Charles (Kenji Urai), his nemesis Malone (Seiko Takada), and the wealthy merchant of Sakai Zenbei Hachigaya (Kunio Murai) all gather!
