The Close-up Lens NC Kit allows for macro photography by shortening the minimum focusing distance when attached to a telephoto lens.
It enables shooting at a working distance (※) of 22cm to 30cm with zoom lenses / prime lenses with a focal length of 70mm to 300mm (full-frame equivalent). (※Working distance: The shortest distance from the front of the lens to the subject that the lens can focus on.) Product Overview: Focal length for 1:1 magnification: around 200mm, Diopter: +3.3
The lens features an APO (Apochromat) design using special low-dispersion glass, which is also used in high-quality telephoto and macro lenses.
By correcting chromatic aberration to the extreme, it suppresses color bleeding in fine details, enabling sharp and high-resolution macro photography without compromising the lens's rendering performance.
