About the fabric
Kinu Koubai fabric is a registered trademark fabric from a weaving studio in Tochio, Niigata Prefecture. This fabric is exclusively provided to Chikusen. It's a refreshing, sheer material created by weaving thick cotton threads in a grid pattern, with silk threads woven in a ratio of 4 warp to 7 weft for the base.

Based on the area, the fabric is woven with a ratio of 85% silk and 15% cotton, resulting in a product that feels remarkably light when held.

About the dyeing
The dyeing process is finished with a shigoki-zome (wiping dye) after hand-applied stencil dyeing, similar to Edo Komon.
Despite the uneven texture of Koubai fabric, which is difficult to dye, delicate patterns are dyed using stencils, making this a yukata that allows you to enter the world of summer kimonos.
