Clarinet Conn 424N 1930s Large Bore, Needs Repair
This is a Conn 424N clarinet, produced in the late 1930s in America. It features a large bore design with a large inner diameter, intended to project sound powerfully even within big bands, and is considered a hidden gem among jazz clarinets.
Unfortunately, the current condition of the pads is not good, preventing it from performing at its full potential. Subjectively, it does possess a certain boldness in its tone. To restore its original sound, professional repair by a technician is necessary. I purchased it out of interest, but as I am not able to play jazz myself, I am listing it for sale in hopes that someone who can play it will take it.
