This model features a longer plate than the Type 1R and comes with a 5x magnifying glass (20x20mm). It includes circular and triangular post marks used in orienteering competitions. These marks are useful not only for OL competitions but also for marking points on maps.
The plate is equipped with centimeter scales and reduction scales of 1:15000 and 1:25000. An orienteering compass has a transparent plate and a transparent compass that allow for clear map reading and angle determination even on a map. With deviation correction markings and side scales, magnetic north lines can also be easily drawn. It is commonly called an OL compass.
