Antique Bakelite Letter Opener Marbled‎ Butterscotch Handle Art Deco Era Office

Antique letter opener featuring a curved steel blade and a richly marbled butterscotch Bakelite handle, dating to the Art Deco era (c. 1920s–1930s).  The warm amber tones of the Bakelite are characteristic of early phenolic plastics from this period. The elongated, gently curved blade gives the piece a streamlined early-modern profile, making it both a functional desk tool and a decorative object.  Details • Early 20th century (c. 1920s–1930s) • Genuine Bakelite handle (phenolic resin) • Steel blade with curved tip and notched spine • Approx. 9.75–10 inches long  Good antique condition with visible age-appropriate wear. Surface oxidation and patina to the metal, and surface wear to the handle consistent with age and use. No cracks or structural damage observed. Please review photos carefully.
