Gourd-shaped octagonal twisted tokkuri (sake bottle)
No box or other accessories included.
Purchased at Daimaru, Shinsaibashi store.
My memory is a bit hazy, but this tokkuri is from about 35 years ago?
The salesperson mentioned that while it's good to support well-known artists, there's also joy in purchasing pieces from emerging young artists to support their future.
They also said that the artist's signature was still developing and had a unique charm.
I apologize if I have the artist's name incorrect.
The gentle fruit design is beautiful, accented by the red and green colors.
As this was checked by an amateur, I believe there are no chips or cracks, but I don't have a magnifying glass, so I can't be sure. There may be scuff marks.
