What is Limonite...
Within the crater lakes formed by the eruption of Mt. Aso, magma and organic matter rich in minerals accumulated and decomposed in the water. Among these, the sediment rich in leached iron is limonite ore. This is aged for 3 years, becoming limonite, which readily combines with various gases and substances.
What are Limonite Tableware?
Natural ceramic porous limonite, processed with limonite in the glaze, suppresses the smell of chlorine in tap water.
A vessel crafted with care, where a ceramic artist meticulously applies the limonite glaze one by one. The fired smoky color is said to have a far-infrared effect.
