The optimal germination temperature for long green onions is generally between 15-25℃, with the most ideal range being 15-20℃. Germination may be poor at lower temperatures, and high temperatures above 30℃ can lead to poor germination, so caution is advised.

Sowing
For spring sowing, sow seeds from late March to early April, transplant seedlings in July-August, and harvest from December to February.
For summer sowing, sow seeds in September-October, transplant seedlings in April-May of the following year, and harvest from September to November.

Thinning
When the seedlings reach about 7cm in height, thin them to 1.5cm spacing. When they reach about 10cm in height, thin them to 3cm spacing.

Fertilizing/Top Dressing
Green onions require top dressing once every 1-2 months, starting one month after sowing.
Each time, scatter 20-30g/㎡ of chemical fertilizer into the soil next to the plants, lightly mix it with the soil, and draw it towards the base of the plants.

Growing Location
Grow in a location with plenty of sunlight and good drainage. They can grow reasonably well even in environments exceeding 30℃ and are also resistant to cold.

Soil
Green onions prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil, but they are not particularly picky about soil type.
Two weeks before transplanting, mix 100g/㎡ of dolomitic lime into the soil and till it well. One week before transplanting, add 3kg/㎡ of compost and 150g/㎡ of chemical fertilizer, and till the soil again.
