Until around 2005, it was the world's hottest chili pepper. It's said to be 100,000-300,000 Scoville units, 5-10 times hotter than Japanese chili peppers (Takanotsume). It has a fruity aroma within its spiciness. If grown successfully, it can reach about 90cm when planted in the ground or 70cm in a large pot, yielding dozens to over a hundred peppers.
It can be used in stir-fries, pasta, curries, etc., just like regular chili peppers. When using in cooking, start with a small amount and increase as you get used to the heat. The best time to plant is until early July.
