Some items are cut, shaved, or sanded. This process enhances texture, improves appearance, and removes wood dust, powder, and protrusions, offering many benefits. We process driftwood to remove as many negative aspects as possible.

Selection, pruning, light processing

Leaching (minimum 1 month / with water changes)
Why is leaching essential? For example, some types of driftwood are found to be below exhibition quality after leaching, so we discard them. The remaining 60% turn out to be excellent. Since the true nature of the wood can only be determined through leaching, we state that it is a mandatory step.

Sorting/washing driftwood that has sunk during leaching
?? Driftwood that has confirmed to sink will be marked accordingly.
↓
Drying (short period of sun drying / followed by shade drying)
Reason: To prevent sunburn acquired during leaching from reappearing.

Processing as needed (cutting/shaving/sanding, etc.)
