Description
Scientific Name: Pachylomera femoralis
This appears to be the second-largest scarab beetle in its subgenus, after Pachylomera cincta.
Pachylomera cincta can cost 80,000-120,000 yen even at 40mm, so we recommend this one!
The bumpy texture of its body is quite cool.
It has also been used as a motif for works by the articulated figure artist Haruo Mitsuta.
