We conducted an experiment previously.
We placed two waiting boxes side-by-side: one with only this attractant applied, and another with a commercially available round lure in a case, but no attractant applied.
The result was that significantly more scout bees entered the box with our attractant, and they naturally colonized it.
Very few bees entered the box with the round lure.
Ultimately, we believe the internal space of the hive is important to the bees, and applying the attractant makes it a more suitable living environment.
