This fermented substrate mat is made using 100% oak sawdust, which is highly preferred by beetles and stag beetles, and finished with the highest grade Himalayan Oyster Mushroom mycelium.

With added nutritional supplements, we've seen consistently large individuals emerge, and thanks to this, our repeat customer rate is exceptionally high.

Even with the same substrate, mycelium finished from Himalayan Oyster Mushrooms is most preferred by beetles and stag beetles, leading to larger individuals.

Himalayan Oyster Mushrooms are expensive and difficult to obtain.

This mat can be used as food for larvae of all types of beetles, both domestic and foreign, and as a laying substrate.

It can also be used for stag beetles that prefer fermented substrates, such as Miyama Stag Beetles and Sawtooth Stag Beetles.

This mat is made by crushing and fermenting new substrate, giving it excellent nutritional value.

Unlike other companies' mats, we do not use any discarded substrate, so there is absolutely no contamination with miscellaneous insects.

Inexpensive fermented mats commonly sold are made by outdoor fermentation of discarded substrate from mushroom farms, which leads to contamination with nematodes, earthworms, and fungus gnats, causing miscellaneous insects to appear during breeding.

Our fermented mat is carefully fermented indoors from fresh sawdust, resulting in no contamination with miscellaneous insects and eliminating the need for troublesome heat or freezing treatments.

They simply eat a lot. The key to raising large adults is to feed the larvae plenty of high-quality food during their larval stage.

Beetle larvae, in particular, are voracious eaters.

The difference in larval feeding response means you can aim for super-sized adults.

When used as a laying substrate, they lay a large number of eggs. We have a record of a single female domestic beetle laying 90 eggs using this mat.

Domestic beetles have hatched at Guinness record sizes.

Through trial and error, the Himalayan Oyster Mushroom fermented mat proved to be the one that resulted in the largest and healthiest growth.
