Cactus perches are recommended by veterinarians in the US. The unique honeycomb-like holes and irregular shape of the cactus skeleton are said to help keep your bird's foot muscles in good condition.
This natural perch is rich in minerals and calcium, safe to chew, prevents overgrown beaks, and provides nutrition.
A cypress perch of approximately 18-25mm is inserted into the cactus skeleton and secured with wooden screws. No adhesive is used for the screws.
After sourcing, the cactus skeletons are repeatedly boiled and detoxified for about 4-5 hours, then air-dried before processing.
