The Detective is a simple envelope follower module. It tracks the overall shape of an input audio signal and converts its amplitude changes into a DC voltage.

The Detective features both an envelope output and a gate output, which is activated when the input signal level is sufficiently high. The input signal level can be adjusted with an attenuator.

You can extract CV and gate signals from any audio signal, so please try it with a variety of signals.

The screw holes are like new because nylon washers were used.
