This is the body of a kotsuzumi (small hand drum).
Diameter: 10.1 cm, Height: 25 cm, Weight: 399 g

It appears to have been used frequently, with many scuffs on the rim of the body.

Images 5 and 6 show peeling and cracking of the maki-e (lacquer decoration).
There are no cracks in the body itself.
The receiving part and the base have intricate carvings.
It produces a good sound.
