Ryūteki (Dragon Flute) - Susutake Bamboo, Wide樺 (Kaba) Binding, Gagaku, Kagura, Izumo Kagura

This Ryūteki was passed down to me by an acquaintance, but I am listing it as it has been used infrequently.

When I tried blowing into it a little after receiving it, I felt that although the bore is slender, it has a thick wall, resulting in a wide range of tones and a flute that resonates well from high to low notes. I am listing it with the hope that it can be passed on to someone who is interested in this flute and will cherish it. Please understand that this is a used item.

[Origin of the Ryūteki]
The Ryu (dragon) in Ryūteki has been considered a connection between heaven and earth since ancient times, and the instrument bearing this character was cherished as a means to connect heaven and earth. Furthermore, the inside of the tube is lacquered vermilion, and vermilion is said to be a color that revitalizes life, leading to the saying that the Ryūteki is an instrument that revitalizes life. I hope you will take this instrument, imbued with such meaning, into your hands and try playing it.
