【Handmade Passive Attenuator】Built into a Luxury Wood Top with Remote Control ❼

This is a listing for a custom-made passive attenuator. Beneath the beautiful wood-grain nameplate lid, a motorized volume control with automatic remote adjustment is housed within 5mm thick transparent acrylic. When the remote is operated, the light shown in photo 10 will flash and the knob will rotate with a clicking sound.

While the motor and potentiometer board are made in China, the unit is equipped with a Japanese Alps 2-gang potentiometer (100kΩ / B type). As a pre-stage, two independent variable resistors (5kΩ / B type) are installed on the primary side. After setting the Alps knob on the secondary side to approximately 3-4 divisions, please adjust the volume of your connected device to the optimal level using the two knobs on the primary side.
In other words, this allows for pre-adjustment to achieve optimal volume without the remote knob needing to rotate fully.

Internal wiring is independently connected left and right via insulated ceramic terminals, designed for proper function of each component. Both input and output RCA terminals are high-grade audio components. A DC5V external input plug for driving the motor and a DC adapter are included. The nameplate top is simply placed on top without screws, and has a considerable weight.

This was designed for enjoying my bedside sub-system while lying down. It's compact for use in small spaces, and each part, including the knob (machined aluminum), has been carefully selected and refined.
The Babylon Automatic text sticker on the front can be removed, but it will be shipped as is. The input is on the left side when viewed from the rear, and the output is on the right. This should be clear from the in/out markings on the white ceramic terminals.

Please note that this is a work by an amateur. There are some signs of hole processing, but overall it is in beautiful condition and, if I may say so myself, very cool.
The sound quality is also not cheap by any means. Perhaps the secondary stage Alps contributes significantly to this. Of course, it depends on your system.
