This is a Petromax frying pan.

Schmiedeeisen is German for forged iron.
It is made using a traditional forging method where heated iron is hammered and stretched into a frying pan.
As it is made entirely of iron, it has a substantial weight and is very durable, making it suitable for use over campfires and wood-burning stoves.
It boasts excellent heat conductivity and superior heat retention. Additionally, the surface has a grid pattern of grooves that allow oil and meat juices to flow easily, preventing food from sticking.
