The item on the left was used for several years but recently stopped producing sparks.
The item on the right, still in its package, was purchased new a few days ago. After filling it with genuine gas, I attempted to ignite it, but due to what seems to be an initial defect, it wouldn't light on the first try and required repeated pressing of the ignition switch. Once lit, it would produce a flame immediately after, but after some time, it would again require repeated pressing of the ignition switch to ignite. However, it did produce sparks.
Therefore, please consider both items as junk.
