[What is Echizen-nuri...]

This is a historic lacquerware made in and around Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, characterized by its durability, beautiful luster, and elegant splendor. It is a traditional craft with origins in the Kofun period, where skilled artisans handle everything from wood preparation to lacquering and decoration (such as maki-e and chinkin) through a division of labor.

Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to minor imperfections, as these items have been in long-term storage.
