Kyoto Zohiko Lacquerware Square Tray
This is a Shiho-bon (square tray) from Zohiko, a long-established Kyoto lacquerware maker founded in Kanbun 1 (1661).
• Features: The black lacquered wooden surface is decorated with delicate makie (sprinkled gold/silver powder) depicting pine trees and arabesque patterns.
• Uses: It can be used for various purposes, such as serving traditional Japanese sweets as tea ceremony utensils, as a general tray, or for serving fruit platters.
It has been used very little and has no noticeable scratches, but please check the images and purchase only after you are satisfied.
The box has been discarded and is not included.
