These were received from a furniture store in Minami-Horie, Osaka, which deals in wedding furniture, at the time of delivery of a wedding furniture set. They were reportedly stored in a closet in a kimono room.
A Miredanbako is said to be a shallow, lidless box for temporarily storing folded clothing, personal belongings, etc.
