This is a set of antique tools from Seirin.
This is a set of 5 weights: two 16-monme and three 30-monme.
The weights are approximate as they are old monme measurements.
These are shizuwa weights used in a Tango Chirimen textile factory to apply tension to silk threads during the twisting process (Haccho-yori).
They are made of ceramic, and the inscribed Kanji numerals indicate their weight.
As these are antique tools that were actually used, they have scuffs, scratches, and some light dirt.
Please use them as vintage decor, paperweights, or ornaments.
